Marking the 10th year anniversary of the Tim Orth McLeod County event, all past recipients were invited back for the celebration. Of the 31 Orth kids, 21 were either in attendance or had parents or grandparents in representations. Children, parents and grandparents gathered at the Gopher Campfire clubhouse on Lake Byron Saturday to learn about the habits of bluebirds. Kids were able to build a bluebird house they could take home and nature experts were on hand to answer questions about bluebirds.

The Hutchinson High School foyer filled with students Friday as they lined up to tape their teachers to the wall. “Stuck for a Buck” raised money for Pennies for Patients, a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

“Someone actually took this literally and brought us 100 pennies,” said event organizer Kirsten Grorud.
