A Saturday morning quilt auction on the grounds of the Harrington-Merrill house raised $7,000 for the historic building's ongoing restoration.

Clearly, we are perfectly sane. Everyone else, however, is insane and trying to steal our magic bag. If community theater and fine dining aren't your bag, we also have the scoop on a once-in-a-lifetime auction taking place at one of Hutchinson's historic hot spots.

The Boy Scout statue at Boy Scout Park in Hutchinson was installed Friday, Sept. 25. Although the weather was overcast and very rainy, the workmen erected the statue without a mishap.
