Former Miss Hutchinson Jaclyn Auger of Hutchinson can add a second crown to her resume: 2009 Aquatennial princess. She was crowned Friday evening at the University of Minnesota’s Ted Mann Concert Hall.

The 2006 Hutchinson High School graduate is a student at the University of Minnesota, where she is studying clothing design and retail merchandising with a minor in Spanish.

In addition to Auger, the 2009 Aquatennial royalty includes the new Queen of the Lakes Tara Litwinchuk, 18, of Maple Grove, and Princess Emily McConkey, the former Miss Cokato, a 2007 graduate of Dassel-Cokato High School.

Women from 50 communities competed for the title of Queen of the Lakes. The contestants were judged on such qualities as speaking ability, poise, community spirit and volunteerism.
