A proposed new home for Hutchinson’s Head Start program is back on the Hutchinson Planning Commission agenda tonight.
Developer Jim Fahey plans to build a 2,400-square foot building north of his existing Edina Realty/Fahey Auctioneering building at 904 State Highway 15 South.
Fahey’s plan was approved by the city in May, but he now wants to rotate the building 90 degrees so that it faces Lynn Road to the east rather than south toward his existing building. Planning staff recommends allowing the change, but without three additional parking spaces proposed along Lynn Road within the public right of way.
Also back before the Planning Commission is an ordinance creating mixed-use zoning district regulations. The commission previously recommended that the City Council adopt the ordinance, but Mayor Steve Cook suggested sending the plan back to the commission to re-examine the suggested 10-foot front yard setback.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the council chamber of City Center, 111 Hassan St. S.E.
