Although this event isn’t in Hutchinson, it’s worth a road trip to Dassel. Ronda Sarner Anderson, author of “Weezer the Sneezer Finds a Home,” will sign her new book from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, at the Little Red Hen, 261 Atlantic Ave. W., Dassel.
Anderson credits a writers workshop she attended last winter through Dassel-Cokato Community Education for providing the inspiration she needed to finish the children’s book she was writing.
“The workshop was terrific,” Anderson said. “The other students had plays, poetry, novels and movie scripts. It could have been intimidating, but everyone was so supportive of each other’s ideas. I had the title and the poem and the idea for illustrations for a children’s book about pet adoption. Community education gave me the confidence to push full steam ahead.”
