Monday, Nov. 23: Hutchinson High School Choir Concert

“Travel Tunes” is the title of the Hutchinson High School Fall Choir Concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. It features the Varsity Singers, Varsity Choir, Tiger Singers, Tiger Chorus, Concert Chorale and Concert Choir.

According to Jim Nelson, choir director, Monday night’s concert is centered around the theme of travel. “It includes some Broadway, pop and folk songs as well as spirituals and patriotic songs,” Nelson said.

The combined choirs will perform two numbers: “I’ve Been Everywhere” and “Just Tell ‘Em When You Saw Me I Was On My Way.”

The concert soloists are: Toni Gruba, Kelsey Cox, Dillyn Benage, Maia Coyle,  Justin Rodeberg, Deborah Dawson, Kayla Tomenes, Kim Ibbitson, Abby Sandberg, Ari Baumgarten and Tyler Ellefson. Student accompanists include Tyler Lauer, Georgeann Nackerud and Joel Stapleton.
