One person was injured Saturday afternoon (Aug. 16) after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 212 in Glencoe.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Carrie Huitt, 31, of Glencoe, was northbound on Falcon Avenue in a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville. She was stopped at a stop sign, then started through the intersection and was broadsided by an eastbound 2003 Ford Explorer.
Sheila Hart, 61, of Norwood Young America, was driving the Explorer and allegedly failed to stop for her stop sign. Huitt had a possible broken arm and was taken to Glencoe Regional Health Services. Her passenger, 43-year-old Dale Huitt, was uninjured, as was Hart.
The crash occurred at about 3:38 p.m. The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Glencoe Fire, Police and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
