University of Minnesota Extension and the Working Family Resource Center are offering an online training for parents from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21. “We Agree: Creating a Parenting Plan” is a workshop for parents who care for their children in separate homes.
When families change through separation, divorce, remarriage or a paternity action, a whole new set of challenges arises for parents and their children. Decisions need to be made about where children will live, how parents will share parenting time, rules, activities, education and many other elements of daily care.
“We Agree: Creating a Parenting Plan” is a 90-minute workshop developed by University of Minnesota Extension’s Parents Forever program. It gives parents a roadmap to help them develop a parenting plan that meets the needs of their children. Participants will receive a copy of the 52-page booklet “We Agree: Creating a Parenting Plan” at no additional charge.
The instructor is Rose Allen, whose work with parents and professionals is known nationally and recommended by many family courts. This highly experienced family relations educator with University of Minnesota Extension is also one of the developers of “We Agree: Creating a Parenting Plan.”
The class is being offered over the Internet. You can participate from any computer with high-speed Internet access. The cost for the class is $15.00.
To register for this online seminar, e-mail your name, address and phone number along with the date and title of the seminar to registration@wfrc.us or call (651)293-5330.
