McLeod County parks open for the 2008 season

All six McLeod County parks will officially open Thursday, May 1. Park hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The parks are Buffalo Creek in Glencoe, Swan Lake by Silver Lake, William May Park near Winsted, Stahl’s Lake and Piepenburg, both near Hutchinson, and Lake Marion, rural Brownton.

Camping facilities are available at Lake Marion Park and at Piepenburg Park. Reservations and park information is available by calling the caretaker at Lake Marion Park at (320) 328-4479 and at Piepenburg Park by calling (320) 587-2082.
