Local officials invite you next week to hear the facts firsthand about H1N1 influenza, and what they’re doing to contain it.
Two sessions will take place Wednesday, Oct. 21:
• noon to 1 p.m. at the Hutchinson Police Department Emergency Operations Center, corner of Franklin Street S.W. and Washington Avenue S.W.,
• 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Boardroom, basement level of the McLeod County Courthouse, 830 E. 11th St., Glencoe.
Representatives of McLeod County’s Public Health and Emergency Management departments, hospitals and clinics will share information for the public and businesses. Topics will include:
• the difference between seasonal and H1N1 flu,
• symptoms of the flu,
• different vaccination priority groups,
• what local agencies are doing,
• what businesses and individuals can do to prepare and stay healthy.
