Minnesota’s Veterans Day program is at Inver Grove Heights

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty heads up the list of dignitaries who will speak at the official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights.

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, the Minnesota Commanders Task Force and the governor invite veterans and community members to celebrate and honor the 410,000 Minnesota veterans who have served this country with bravery.

Joining Pawlenty as speakers are: Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Commissioner Michael Pugliese, Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Larry Shellito, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, U.S. Senator Al Franken and U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum.

The event will begin with a buffet breakfast from 8 to 9:45 a.m. The community center is at 8055 Barbara Ave.
