It wasn’t a solid “yes,” but Hutchinson City Council members seemed agreeable Tuesday night to considering a contract to do building inspections for Glencoe.
The idea of Hutchinson providing inspection services to the county seat came up during McLeod for Tomorrow discussions. Glencoe’s contract with its current inspection provider expires at the end of the year.

Council Member Jim Haugen agreed, but he is concerned about the time spent traveling between the cities.
Plotz said the contract would have to include reimbursement for transportation costs. The council authorized Plotz and city staff to continue talks with Glencoe officials on the idea.
