I hear they have awesome 12 dollar burgers also. To feed my family with these burgers, it would be 60 dollars + 15% = 69 bucks. Sorry not in Hutch.

I heard they are the same owners or some at least. I hope they did a 1 point lesson or performed a 8D approach, so the same things that left their business empty, won't happen again. It used to be pulled pork missing, now its chicken.

Hope they work/keep the bugs out.

Well, we took our family there on Saturday. We were optimistic, and as much as we root for local businesses to succeed, I have to say I was disappointed in many aspects.

1) The kids meal pizza tasted bad. Even the kids couldn't finish off their pizza!

2) The Chicago dog was ok... gotta say I prefer the hot dog stand guy's fare.

2) Service was ok at best... we did see a lot of people waiting for service or for their bills. Our server did a decent job.

3) Availability... these things will probably be worked out as they get better and learn... but they had no chicken available... and they have nice kids menus for coloring and activities, but no crayons or pens!

In short, the atmosphere isn't much different than the old America's Pastime. As much as I like big HD TV's and football on TV, the TVs are as equally distracting as they were when the place was AP.

Correct as usual, King RJ. I recently visited the newspaper association web page and found there were no awards for polls (although I am convinced the Leader would have fared well in that category, too). When viewing the site, I learned the contest included some keen competition in many categories. The contest totaled 1,713 entries from 43 states and only 532 were selected as winners! What do you think of that, King?

C'mon, RJ, you have to admit the current Leader poll is pretty thought-provoking. Huh? Sure, Doug may have had some help with it but you need to give credit where credit is due -- that's a well thought-out poll.

omg people calm down. yes it was terrible, but it was a preview of the storyies coming up in the leader. What did you want him to say.... and over the weekend a tragic double death happened.Husband wife were found dead in their cabin and their son was found unconscience and fighting for his life. It is an horrible ordeal and a great loss for the people of hutchinson..... is this what you would of wanted? It is a preview for pete's sake. That means parts of this are being shortened and shown for us to say hey I think I will pick up the paper.get a grip people.

I do appologize to any family of these two if I have come across as insensitive in any of my comments, as that was not my intention. For obvious reasons I will not continue to respond to the others viewpoints towards me regarding this.

You seem rather insensitive to what happened to this couple and their son. These were fine people. People who cared for others... people who helped and were active in church too. To simply lump them and a tree bug together seemed to be poor judgement. I was not asking for the entire paper to be used at all... just simply change the headline to respect the family members who passed away and the friends who loved them.
p.s. Let me write your headline... " Canthelpbutlaugh dies in a fire, citywide garage sales this weekend, and the pawn shop mural gets egged.

Although I can't speak for the Ghost nor Mr. Blade, I don't think they were suggesting Doug dedicate the entire issue to the tragedy. More likely, they were suggesting Doug lacked good judgement in placing both items in his preview headline. As the lead story of the day, the preview headline should have included only the tragedy. The bug item has already been discussed in past issues and probably doesn't warrant a spot in the preview headline. Sorry Doug, that's both bad journalism and bad taste. How about doing the right thing and changing the preview headline now? Note to Canthelpbutlaugh: As far as Ghost and Blade being the blog jokers, I think you are giving them too much credit. Creative writers? Perhaps. Deep thinkers? Probably. Jokers? I'll have to get back to you on that one. Canthelpbutlaugh? Perhaps you should change your name to Dontgetit.

I believe that this is only a preview of whats contained in the tuesday paper..........and what are they supposed to do? Dedicate the entire Tuesday paper to this tragedy? Not likely. This coming from the jokers of the Leader blog world.........go figure!
