This is a voice I would like to hear more from. In my uneducated mind I cannot see where the School Board plans to put a multi-story structure with in the High School foot print. Even eliminating circle drive would give set back laws a challenge. I fear the truth is Mr Korngiebel the powers that be are aware it is not possible, and the solution, once they have some money, will be to build all new on the property they won't sell. Too add to my doubts it is suddenly very difficult to voice opinions on the new school plan here on the Leader site. Where are the articles from last week and this weeks papers on the subject? I heard the Board ask people not to blog, etc. To call them. That way they can say anything they want and make us feel we are the only decenters out there. Divide and conquer is so much harder now and they know it. Here is a question for the Leader, once a referendum is passed what forces compel the School Board to spend the money JUST as they stated and not on anything "different"? With all the flat roof we have what is stopping us from abandoning the under ground mechanicals that "can't be accessed", and put all new on the roof and close them in? I think there are a lot of solutions that have not been considered because the lure of new is just too strong.

From John Korngiebel
Hutchinson

I disagree with the Leader’s editorial of July 17 regarding the proposed school plans by the School Board.

I quote your article as stated: “We also encourage the campaign to be wary of advice from consultants employed by architects and contractors. Their advice didn’t work in 2006, and there’s no reason to believe it will work today.”
