Hutchinson Produce began

Hutchinson Produce began with a small retail store on Main Street in 1889. It purchased produce from area farms. The building on the left was the office. The middle building was cold storage. Notice its lack of windows. Since these buildings were not demolished until 1991, some readers likely have memories or other photos. The original produce company was sold to Kraft during its history. More modern siding was also added to the buildings.

Hutchinson Produce Company was a fixture on Main Street from 1889 to 1991. Note the early truck in the photo.
