I think the two teams are,

I think the two teams are, at this stage, completely different. I think Minnesota has more talent on both sides of the ball than Green Bay. I'm not too sure GB wouldn't be 2-2 even with Favre. I'd hate to see his 40-year-old body take the eight sacks the Vikes administered to Rodgers last night behind that terrible O-Line.

Favre seems to be in the perfect situation for a veteran quarterback. He just has to steer the sports car that is the Vikes offense right now and occasionally tap the accelerator.

The Monday Night Football

The Monday Night Football announcers asked if Green Bay made the right decision to move on from Favre. Both announcers thought the team was right. I know Brett kept waffling about whether to continue, and their new quarterback is a quality younger guy, but the Vikings won with Favre last night and are 4 and 0. The Packers are 2 and 2. Doesn't that say the Packers might have lost something when Brett left?

I agree, teams will pay if

I agree, teams will pay if they continue to focus only on Adrian Peterson rushing the ball. However, I sure would like to see the Vikings swing Peterson out of the backfield a bit more and get him open in the flat one-on-one more in the open field against a lineback, a la Chuck Foreman in the 1970s. I can envision him getting 15-20 yards on most receptions, and probably more since he would be shaking off little d-backs trying to tackle him.

Its hard to picture Tavarius

Its hard to picture Tavarius Jackson or Sage Rosenfals pulling out the last second win like Favre did over San Francisco. And last nights game the Packers did a pretty good job of containing Adrian Petersen but Favre made them pay by opening up the passing game. That was huge, in my opinion. Teams will no longer be able to stack the line to stop Petersen like they did the previous years.

The thing that’s always

The thing that’s always bothered me about Brett Favre is his name is spelled F-A-V-R-E but it’s pronounced, “FARVE.” What’s up with that? It’s not like Judge Mike Savre pronounces his last name “SARVE.” He pronounces it “SAV-REE” which makes a lot more sense.

Brett Favre joined the Vikings this week. How much can his leadership and skills help the Vikings this season?
