We all have our preferences, but we should not let that get in the way of the facts. If you investigate further into the details you will find Big Stone 1 & Bigstone 2, combined, will produce less emissions than Big Stone 1 currently produces. They are also in compliance with all environmental laws and regulations put forth by South Dakota, and Minnesota. There is an immediate need for increased energy, which wind power cannot meet at this time. Wind energy cannot provide reliable, baseline power that is not affected by weather. Lastly, no one is saying no to wind power. If it is a viable solution for our area; someone should step up to the plate and reveal the plan that will meet our immediate, and future needs, and eliminate the need for clean coal and nuclear.
