Jason Bourne and James Bond are both lethal secret agents and share the same initials, but the similarities end there, according to Matt Damon.
Damon, who's played Bourne in three films, including "The Bourne Ultimatum" (due in theaters Aug. 3), dissed Bond in a recent interview with GQ magazine.
"Bond is part of the system," Damon said. "He’s an imperialist and a misogynist, and he laughs at killing people, and he sits there slugging martinis."
Damon added, "It’ll never be the same thing as this, because Bourne is a guy who is against the establishment, who is paranoid and on the run. I just think fundamentally they’re just very different things."
Pretty harsh words, eh? I like both film series, but I think Bond could clobber Bourne any day.
OK, maybe not when that clown Roger Moore was playing Bond, but the new Bond, Daniel Craig, is one bad Brit.
