It appears to me the very low level of the Crow River in Hutchinson is finally starting to rise.
Do you think it is rising, too?
Rains always cause the river level to bounce up a bit. But, during the past two weeks, the river actually seems to be keeping some of its depth between rain events.
The shorelines this summer were as exposed as I have ever seen them. Some rocky shorelines had many feet of sandy beach below the rock rip rap.
Water has been coming straight through the middle of the new rock rapids dam downtown all summer. The small rock "chinking" was suppose to help plug that up after mud and silt filled in around the smaller rocks.
I am wondering if that silt has now started to fill-in. I'd be interested in others comments. Have you noticed the river rising recently?
