Three of four is what the Twins needed

» Read similar stories filed under:

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen had this to say following Thursday's 10-6 loss to the Twins.

"[The Twins] don't need to get fired up by Gardy," Guillen said. "They can win without Gardy. They're a good club."

While Guillen was talking about Twins manager Ron Gardenhire's ejection, which came moments before Minnesota took a 7-4 lead, maybe, he should have been talking about his own team.

Twice during the series Minnesota trailed 4-0 through four innings (Monday and Thursday), yet, rallied to win. Minnesota looked pathetic for four innings in both games, but the inability of the White Sox starters and bullpen to get outs were their downfall.

First it was Morneau, then Mauer, then Kubel, then Punto and it just kept on going. This team really never gives up. I now it's a cliche, but the Twins are a cliche. Their the little engine that could - someone gets hurt, somebody new steps in. Right when you think their out, they rally back. They truly are an amazing team.

Maybe, that's why Guillen said what he said. Maybe, the Twins are a really good ball club.

With the lead back to a half-game, the next two months should be very entertaining. Now, if we could just bring up Francisco Liriano and put him in the rotattion for Livan.

Favre - Packer update:
When I said in March that Brett Favre would start that first week in Green Bay, mark my words, I didn't say with what team. No. 4 in purple? It really looks like it could happen - I just don't see Green Bay letting it happen.

But if the NFL steps in and commissioner Roger Goddell forces the Packers' hands, they may not have a choice.

What a soap opera.
