Recent Blog PostsApril's MomMay 11, 2008 - 1:50pm — Kathy Ghost hunterI write about are true stories of the supernatural that I personally have experienced. Sometimes there is more to the story then I tell about. With Mothers Day coming up I thought this would be the best time to tell this about this case. HELP!! LOST CHIHUAHUA/RAT TERRIER!!! 5/9/08May 10, 2008 - 3:24pm — dar_mar01HELP PLEASE!!! My name is Darcy Martin and I recently moved to Hutchinson over the past summer after my parents sadly passed away. I was at a garage sale on Texas Ave., between California and Minnesota St.'s, on 5/9/08, and my little 5-6lb., black and white Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix dog got out of my truck!!! Who does this get reported to??May 9, 2008 - 5:24pm — MOVEONI know of a person who can't pay the bills and does not know how to budget money. He will get any credit card he can, max it to the limit and won't pay. He will be a car, make a couple payments, then it gets repocessed. The question I have is, who needs to get contacted when this guy is using his kids social and other information to get cell phones, utilities and so fourth because his credit is poor. These kids will grow up with horrible credit by the time they are 16 or so. They won't be able to get their own cell phone or a loan for a car if their parents are recking their credit now. Something to tide you overMay 9, 2008 - 10:24am — Jorge SosaHey there faithful readers: I am going to be away from the office these next two weeks, so my film blog will fall eerily silent. Never fear — if you get bored, you can just watch this video of kittens at play over and over again. See, the one kitten loves sitting in the tissue box so much, he refuses to let his siblings have a go at it. Who's more easily amused? The kittens with their tissue box? Or us humans who actually just sit and watch them? Hmmm ... The season opener is here!May 9, 2008 - 9:21am — Eric KrausharAll week long I've been counting down the five most exciting moments from last season's Hutchinson Huskies season. Finally, today, we get to No. 1 on the heels of the season opener with Cold Spring. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Come out and support the squad all season long. Moment No. 1: Recent Forum PostsHELP!! Beat high gas pricesApril 30, 2008 - 9:41am — Doug HannemanThe Leader wants to help motorists share information about ride sharing. With gas prices rising quickly, ride sharing is a financially wise alternative to traveling alone. Please feel free to post information here about where you want to go and when, and whether you need a ride. It might be a ride to work or to visit someone. Or post information about your own commute, and whether you are able to provide a ride to anyone going in the same direction at the same time. Unwanted, abandoned dogApril 19, 2008 - 3:38pm — dkfHello, Report ice out at area lakesApril 15, 2008 - 8:46pm — Matt McMillanThe ice appears to have gone out on the South Fork of the Crow River in Hutchinson today (Tuesday, April 15). It appears a boat could navigate the entire pool behind the Main Street dam, which, I believe, is used to define official ice out on Rainy and other lakes in Minnesota. If readers track ice out at area lakes or the river, please post dates and ice out conditions here. Ice out seems to be later this year. Matt McMilan is publisher of the Leader and can be reached at mcmillan@hutchinsonleader.com. Robin, heron, wood duck sightingsMarch 26, 2008 - 8:26am — Matt McMillanLast night two herons over by the Gopher Campfire Wildlife Sanctuary in Hutchinson. I assume they are migrating back to the area, and didn't stay all winter. Have any robins been spotted yet? Last year, I hung a wood duck house. But, the vacancy light stayed on all spring and summer. Have any wood ducks been spotted yet?
