Cheers to the Knights of Columbus, parents, students, staff and community members who helped make the Marathon for Nonpublic Education at St. Anastasia a success in 2009.

Cheers and thank you for your generous support of the Warm Coat Project. Because of your gifts of coats and volunteer time, 820 coats were distributed in Hutchinson and 428 in Glencoe. There were more than 1,800 coats collected throughout the county. Numerous donations of hats, scarves, mittens and snow pants were also received. Thank you for blessing the lives of many.

Cheers to the readers of the Opinion page, one called me to point out something I had missed, there is indeed parking behind the Hutchinson Food Shelf. He invited me to stop in and check further. I did note that the ground between the building and the parking lot looked rough when I drove by. I will have to take him up on his invitation.
Also, as to privacy, if you choose to park out front on the street then you will get very little but what right do I or anyone have to judge anyone for being there in the first place? Praise God for the food shelves of this country. We need to keep donating to them to keep them running and serving those who have a need.
Joan Nott, Hutchinson
